This is a simple Eiffel program that prints a string to the console, then prints the integers 1 through 10 using a simple loop.

<<hello_world.e>>=
class HELLO_WORLD
create
    make
feature -- Initialization
    make is
        local
            i: INTEGER
        do
            io.put_string ("Hello World!")
            io.put_new_line
            from
                i := 1
            until
                i > 10
            loop
                io.put_integer (i)
                io.put_new_line
                i := i + 1
            end
         end
end
